PLAYSKOOL DinoRoars Stompers

My 5 year old son, John David, loves all thing dinosaur, as do most boys his age. When PLAYSKOOL came out with the DinoRoars toys (the commercials were everywhere) he thought he just had to have one. There are two different types of the DinoRoars toys: the Hatchlings and the Stompers. We were sent a Triceratops Stomper to review. Here's what the website says about the Stomper:Soft and snuggly, this baby dinosaur figure comes to “life” when you pet his back to wake him up. He roars and moves his head and mouth and even stomps around like a real dino! And even though he looks tough, his soft “skin” will have you cuddling up with him all day long. Your prehistoric playmate even comes with a discovery sheet so you’ll learn all kinds of interesting facts about your new friend! Includes 3 “AA” POWRFUEL™ batteries. Ages 3 and up.

I loved that this toy came with batteries, because I didn't have any and John David wanted to play with it as soon as it got here. One of my biggest pet peeves is when toys don't come with batteries. The fabric that covers the Stomper is soft and also durable which is great when it's being played with by a little boy. Jon David and Luke both have been playing with and taking the DinoRoars Stomper everywhere. I do wish that the toy had a volume setting, because it's kind of loud and after awhile it gets to me. I also noticed that it's difficult for the toy to walk on carpet, but we have plenty of non-carpeted areas in our house so that hasn't been a problem for us. The DinoRoars Stompers retail for $24.99.
